Samsung Licenses Video System Solution IP from Silicon Hive
Eindhoven, The Netherlands November 24, 2009 – Silicon Hive B.V. (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) announced today that Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd licensed Silicon Hive’s HiveGo VSS3000 Video System Solution product.
Silicon proven HiveGo VSS3000 provides Full HD 1080p performance and decodes digital video up to 1920x1080 resolution level at 30 fps. It embeds various video decoders, fully in software, for various standard and proprietary video coding formats used in broadcasting, optical disks, and on the Internet.
“We selected the HiveGo VSS3000 product because it offers the unique combination of full programmability, high processing throughput required for Full HD 1080p video signal processing, and completeness as a sub-system that can be easily integrated in SoC designs.
